I designed this ribbon earring thinking of Rhythmic Gymnastics, a sport I adore watching — and used to practise when I was a child. The ribbon was, of course, my preferred apparatus, and I've always been enthralled by its movement and bright colours.
Despite their size, they are extremely light and comfortable, and are made from offcuts of industrial scrap titanium. They blend in with your hair and sway, bringing joy and movement.
Fita was the first piece I made to sell that featured a gradient on the titanium and, while the first version was coloured with fire, the second is coloured by anodisation. It's always a challenge to get the colour play right, and it took a good few attempts to achieve this result.
