Titanium is a metal that can't be soldered using traditional goldsmithing techniques, so every time I design a new piece, there's a problem to be solved: "how do I attach the stud?".

In this case, the idea was to have very simple pieces, nothing more than a straight, coloured line. I decided to try using the hinge as a support without soldering it shut, and while the result wasn't exactly making lemonade from lemons, you could say it was a proper caipirinha.

Chance allowed me to keep the design simple, less obvious than it would have been if the support had been closed.
