A brand favourite, this pendant was one of the first pieces I designed when I started working exclusively in jewellery.
I designed this piece because I had a big trip planned and wanted a piece of jewellery to wear during that time, to celebrate a dream that was about to come true. I'm from Niterói, and a lot of people there call this little paper aeroplane a "gaivota" (seagull), which is where the name comes from.
The very first one was made with great care, and I still wear it to this day. My friends who travelled with me all received one when we got back, because our trip was so special that I had to thank them for everything we experienced. I'll never forget when, at airport immigration, an officer noticed the necklace and said to me: "What a lovely necklace, it's silver, isn't it? You know, I much prefer silver to gold. It's a cleaner metal."
But that's a story for a blog post. For now, suffice it to say that this pendant is a huge success, and can be worn by anyone, of any age.
